Don't know what happened with the picture on that last post, but here it is. He's my cutie!

McKay loved the water too. He was shivering the whole time we were in the ocean but wouldn't sit out for a second. He had to keep up with his sisters. Erik got him a body board and showed him how to ride the waves in. He didn't quite get the idea but had fun trying.

Maryn is my water baby. She has always loved being in the water and didn't think twice that the ocean might be cold or too deep! She loved it!

Here are the kids searching for sea shells or whatever the waves send in. The water was really rough while we were there and the kids had more fun in the pool that in the water at the beach. We found lots of fun shells. Madalyn was most interested in finding the "cool" ones and is very proud of her collection.

Spring Break 2008

We went to the Alabama Gulf Shores for Spring Break this year. Actually, I think it's the first time my kids have been to a real beach and the first time we've taken a family vacation during spring break. In the south, it is THE thing to head to the beach while the kids are out of school, so we went and had a great time. It was fabulous to escape for a few days and relax.

Easter Sunday all dressed up. I know I'm their mama but I have to say they are a good looking trio. Maryn really wanted a white dress this year so I got one that will fit her in January when she gets baptized but it goes all the way to the floor. She's been in heaven having a long dress she can wear in public. She reminded me that Cinderella has to lift her dress when she walks, so Maryn has been lifting her skirt most of the day. Madalyn didn't like the stitching on Maryn's dress because it was too "baby" So we found her a grown up girl dress that she was happy to wear. McKay really dislikes getting ready for church but we came to a compromise and he wore his easter outfit to church today. The girls felt like princesses today and even went so far as to let McKay know that he was thier doorman and needed to open and close all the doors behind them.....including helping them in and out of the car. McKay, being the sweet little brother that he is, happily fullfilled thier request. It was pretty cute!

This is McKay's turtle. The kids have names for all of these little creatures but I don't remember what they are.

Here is Maryn with her PINK Poodle. Very chic. It's another one of those grow in the water things. Doesn't eat, doesn't poop, doesn't bark and when the kids are tired of playing with it I don't have to take over. HA!

Madalyn's crab

Here is Madalyn with her hermit crab. Well, it's not real. It's one of those grow in water things because we won't let her have a real pet right now. She loves it and has had a ton of fun watching it grow. The little crab goes in and out of it's shell when it grows. Kind of fun.

Extra Extra Mckay turns 4 Read All about it....

Mackay turns 4 and loves the transformers so he had an All Spark cake. Among the other highlights is a transformer toy that incorporates the best of his two likes Star Wars and Transformers. He is growing up fast and furious.
